DEL MAR - HANDICAPPING PICKS AND SELECTIONS FOR FRI.
Thur. recap- Race 1-4th pick "tied" won (4.00) 3rd pick 2nd (6.00) 2nd pick 3rd (2.60) top pick 4th, picks boxed- Ex (13.30) Q (18.00) Trifecta (34.20). Race 2- 2nd pick won (5.80) Top pick 2nd (3.40) boxed- Ex (9.20) Q (8.40) 3rd pick 3rd (4.40) Trifecta (41.80). Race 3- Top pick won (15.20) 2nd pick 3rd (6.80). Race 4- all 2 yo. - All were 1st time starters that finished 1st thru 4th. Race 5- top pick 2nd (6.20) 3rd pick 3rd (4.80). Race 6- 2nd pick won (5.80) 3rd pick 4th. Race 7- top pick 2nd (3.80) 2nd pick 3rd (2.80). Race 8- 2nd pick won (4.60) top pick 3rd (3.00) 3rd pick 4th.

ALWAYS REMEMBER-The 5 point difference between horses rule-Any horse that is rated within 5 points of each other has a good chance of beating each other on any given day. You should also consider a horse who is dropping or moving up in class. If drop is large enough he may be very competitive with the horses at this level. The same is true with a horse moving up the class level. If the jump in class is too much he may have a difficult time being competitive with these horses.
